VIDICOM ventures into new flight levels: the directors Peter Bardehle and Sebastian Lindemann are the first to capture a high mountain range from above. With the imagery of cinematographer Klaus Stuhl the filmmakers open up new vistas on the roof of Europe: Serpentines become abstract paintings, rock formations bring lunar landscapes into mind and mountain villages look like dollhouses.
The journey crosses all Alpine regions: From the Italian South Tyrol over the white giant Mont Blanc to the idyllic Allgäu to the Swiss Aletsch Glacier – every natural beauty is set into scene using the world’s best helicopter camera.
The film tells the story of an unique cultural area, where different peoples and nations clashed in extreme terrain. The filmmakers show how unequaled and at the same time fragile the mighty mountains are. For the narration the legendary Munich actor Udo Wachtveitl could be won.
